Local 416 Established Committees
During the Executive Board planning retreat in January, several committees were established. We encourage the membership’s participation on these committees. Below is a list of each committee and a description of its responsibilities. Just click on the title of the committee you would like to participate to send an email to the committee chair; include your name and contact information.
Look at the makeup of the Local. Are districts the best manageable way to service members? Is there value in appointing Regional V.P.’s? This committee will also look at salary and benefits for the Executive Board. This is as important as any time with consolidation looming.
Ongoing review and change as needed on the C&B. This would also include rules and policy of the Local. Look for possible updates to Constitution to be in line with other organizations or legalities. Committee applies to both the Local’s and PAC’s Constitution and Bi-Laws.

Supervise the athletic events such as the Locals Golf outing, Burn Tourney, and the Kriech Tournament. Look into funding and promotion of all events.
Oversee the 2007 election. Evaluate rules and guidelines for the election and present to the membership at the October General Meeting.
Each District should organize their respective PAC’s. Each District President that has a PAC will sit on Local 416 PAC Committee and meet as needed. Establish County PAC’s if the need is warranted. Increase membership involvement with contributions and participation. Examine PAC Constitution and Bi-Laws and make recommendations to the Constitution and Bi-Laws Committee.
Meet as requested by a District President to discuss individual issues. May also meet if requested by a principle officer for a specific reason.
Utilized as a resource base for individual Department needs. Will assist Districts with setting up testing procedures or compiling information on specific equipment/gear.
Used to identify specific needs for each event the Local may sponsor. This committee will also identify individuals to help out at events.
